"No Rakefile found" error during deploy

I have been successfully deploying with capistrano for few weeks on
this particular project. I deployed tonight and got an error stating
the Rakefile was nowhere to be found. I SSH'd into my server and
verified that there was no Rakefile. However, in my repository, there
is certainly a Rakefile and I can see it clearly. I also have noticed
that files such as environment.rb, boot.rb, etc. are missing from the
config directory in my new deploy. My deploy.rb looks like:

and my staging.rb (I am using Capistrano multistage) looks like:

Any idea what is going on here? I am very confused because I changed
nothing in my deploy files since my last successful deploy.

Tony,

I can verify that nothing has changed in that part of the deployment script – are you using remote cache, maybe there's a problem there (sometimes you can have conflicts, so things go missing!)

Thanks for the response, Lee. I am still a bit new to capistrano.
Turning copy_cache off fixed the issue
