I would like to know why this tool it's called Capistrano, my surname is Capistrano  :D

HI Jefferson,

The tool used to be called Switch Tower which was stopped with a cease-and-disist order, as some existing software company had a product by the same name.

Inspired by the Swifts/Swallows (?) of San Juan Capistrano, a city in So Cal, he changed the name to Capsitrano https://sanjuancapistrano.org/

This happened something like 2008, or 2011, and we've been running like this for a decade or more now.

Originally it was called "SwitchTower" but for a trademark issue, Jamis Buck had to change it. As Lee says, it comes from San Juan de Capistrano.
