I tried to set a maximum bandwidth in the widevine settings and it did not change anything. Then I changed stream selection to manual and now I get the minimum quality, which is way too bad with large artifacts even in the netflix logo (the internet connection has 50 MBit/s). I do not see anyway where the manually select the stream, I thought this actually enables the selection by the specified minimum/maximum bandwidth?

I had to select manual stream selection and then start a video and choose 720p stream there and then save it as default. It still forgot it the first time, but when I did the same again, it now seem to remember the bitrate.

Depending on your bandwidth, network conditions and which web browser you use, your Netflix stream could be sharp and smooth or laggy and blurry. For example, we recently learned that Microsoft's Edge browser and Apple's Safari can play Netflix videos in 1080p mode, but Chrome and Firefox cap out at 720p.

Unless you have really discerning vision, however, you can't tell exactly what kind of stream you're getting in Netflix with your naked eyes. Instead, by hitting a couple of keyboard macros while a video is playing in your browser, you can get important information like the bitrate, resolution and number of dropped frames. More importantly, you can change settings to improve the quality.

You'll find the resolution of your clip in the fourth block of text preceded by the words "Playing bitrate." I was surprised to find that a video was playing at just 720 x 480 when I had it at full screen on my full HD monitor.

Other interesting stats include the frame rate (usually close to 24 fps), the number of dropped frames and the throughput. If you have a lot of dropped frames or low throughput, you can manually change servers or request a lower bitrate.

I have a query about the speed test on my Sky Q 2TB box. I have hard wired my mini box and main box via powerline adapters- TP link which actually seem to work very well in the kitchen and lounge. However a speed test on netflix app shows only 15mpbs with the lounge ethernet set up? I am getting 45 mbps on the minibox so cant quite understand why so slow. Using a vodafone hub for broandband and speed is fine. Thanks to anyone in the know!

So I just got my S24 Ultra a few weeks ago, and I've noticed that whenever I'm streaming anything (whether it be on WiFi or cellular data) on TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Instagram Reels, etc., the video gets choppy/laggy randomly, and as soon as I touch the screen it becomes smooth again, or it smoothens out after a few seconds and then gets back to being choppy/laggy. Has anyone else has this issue?

Samsung support couldn't help one bit - They pretty much told me reset my settings, which I did, and it still didn't fix the issue. Once I told them that it was still persisting, they recommended I take it to a UBreakIFix store and they couldn't help me either and said they don't know why Samsung would even send me to them.

I've been having the same issue since I got my s24. I submitted a report through the Samsung Members app and they just said they would tell the software team about it and didn't offer any solutions or help. This was about 3 weeks ago. I honestly think they don't plan to do anything about this.
