Interesting article about some of the shortcomings of Ruby.. I didn't see Jeremy's talk so maybe a lot of this was covered then.

Its pretty biased towards Python, but seems pretty accurate as far as I can tell:

I've run into a couple of these, but most weren't killers for me. My
talk was about specific things that have caused me pain that are
nonissues in most other languages I've used.

I also compared Ruby to Python, mostly because they fill very similar
niches and have superficially similar featuresets.
