I would like to join Dudley's "Cape Henry" group as I am now a year and a half into building a bilge keel version of this lovely boat. I hope to pick up tips from previous builders, and may be my experiences can help others. I am a retired Master Mariner who has never tackled a boat building like this before - just canoes ! If this introduction works I will try and work out how to post images giving a construction timeline.

Rgds to all - Tony

Hey Tony,

Welcome to this awesome group!  I was also extremely attracted to the bilge keel option.  I look forward to seeing your progress.  Is there a build blog or something we can follow?  I have abandoned the idea of shipping the boat to the UK to travel the canals as it's too wide.  I just love the boat in and of itself and Dudley's customer service is right up there with the late/great Ian Farrier.
