hi,
here we are working. we are in a hot spring, 32 celcius today so epoxy get solid in less then a day so all is goin on faster.
after cutting the bulkhead in the cnc machine, i was working fast covering all in epoxi and glass 200 gm2 biaxial. cheaper! then twill.
because my search for a local marine plywood was a failure, sadly all local company dont make anymore plywood with natives species so i decided to used 12 mm exterior grade plywood made from local pine and waterproof glue for only the bulkheads. i know pine get cracks or check easily so i decided to glass all of it befour the set up of the frames. now i am almost done., also the steam..this was a mix of 12 mm pine cnc cut piece and 4 layers of 9 mm native plywood. looks very strong .
now must to shape the rudder and finish all the pices and glue to the bulkheads befour assembly them in the frame. also must to make the centercase but here i will to chose if will be a metal 25 mm centercase as the plans says or a wooden alternative dudley told me will be possible and make a wooden one with severals kilos of lead on it....will chek the metal one in some metal shop....but is not easy to move in the city because chile in now on fire because a social revolution....hope will get all finished soon but i am afraid will be for some time...
one thing i apreciate a lot was my assembly table i made earlier, made from solid glued beams perfectly scuare made so easy any glued or asembly. i glued on it the transom without any special jig and works fine tome.
so, cheers and some photos
