A simple solution for the end of the bowsprit is to have a D shackle through the bowsprit fitting. The furler can then attach through that. It does not matter if the pin through the furler attachment point goes fore and aft, or athwartship.
If you are using the same furler for the jib you will need another fitting aft of the forestay chainplate so you have enough room for the drum. The 8mm hole for is for the forestay and would only be used for a furler if you are using a structural furler. With these, the forestay turns and the sail furls around the forestay but they are different from the furler in your drawing.
If you put another fitting behind the forestay for the furler make sure it is bolted well to the boat because when you tension the luff the forestay will go slack and the luff of the sail will be taking a lot of load.
