Mast head indicators

I am a couple of weeks in with Cape Henry 21 ownership with a build by someone else .Have not put the sails up yet as i have few things to sort out...a topping lift first  and im  curious how  people have fitted their mast head  wind indicators as there is not a lot of space up there.Im yet to drop the mast for a closer look however on top wont work as the mast is fitted with mast top nav lights and the rear of the mast has the peak halyard right at the top . If i lower the peak halyard 100 mm{ to fit a bracket }  is this going to affect sail setting? cheers Pat..Im in South Australia and intend to sail on the lower lakes and the Coorong .
