New member here.    I am located in New Jersey USA and wondering if any members are located in the northeast, within driving distance to see a finished boat close up.

Hi Chuck,
You Would be best to get in contact with Dudley Dix via his website. I know there was one built in Massachusetts a few years ago, but has since been sold. Not sure if the new owner is still in the same area.
Cheers
Ron

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your reply.  I wondered if this group was alive.  Yes, Dudley replied to many emails already and answered many of my questions.  I ordered the study plans for the boat and I'm trying to withold questions till I see those and not bother anyone needlessly.

I watched your videos on YouTube and they were nicely done.

Trailer:  Dudley recommended a tandem axle trailer with rollers down the centerline and bank boards to stabilize the boat for transport.  Wonder if you could share pictures of your trailer or if you had some advice on that?
Thanks, Chuck

Hi Ron,
I did a search of the google group conversations and found ten pictures of your boat on the trailer.  Thanks so much for sharing all those photos on your website of your build.  I now understand more of what is needed.  Love the inboard engine.  Love the carpentry finish details.  Well done.

Can you quote a price to supply all the stainless fittings needed for a CH21?

Appreciate your help.
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck - I hope to finish my build this summer. I live in Vermont. Not too close to NJ, but feel free to visit. I can't get this site to upload any pictures at the moment. Send me an email and I'll send you some photos if you'd like to see what's been done so far.

You might be able to find Mike Smith's build which was on the cover of Wooden Boat magazine in 2010, volume 215. He built it in Darien, CT. I saw a "for sale" advertisement for it from a maritime museum on Long Island Sound about a year or two past; my memory is that the museum was on the CT shore not far from Darien. Maybe the boat is still on the Sound.
