Dear All,
The State continues to move forward as they spend taxpayers monies towards the false nuclear solution as "affordable energy" and "a climate solution" that is already been proven to be too expensive, still dangerous, will produce more radioactive waste with nowhere to go, and take away from real energy solutions available today.  See attached flyer for more info.

Please attend this zoom program on Tuesday and Friday as the state has invested $250,000 on the "Roadmap" report from nuclear promoters. We need to show up and make the case for no nuclear.

In the meantime, the DOE is reducing radiation exposure standards https://www.npr.org/2026/01/28/nx-s1-5677187/nuclear-safety-rules-rewritten-trump
In addition, now no Environmental Impact Statements are required for new nuclear reactors https://www.npr.org/2026/02/02/nx-s1-5696525/trump-nuclear-safety-regulations-environmental-review.  The government is making decisions based on nuclear profits not public or environmental safety. And the nuclear industry and their academic partners are harvesting the $$$$$billions in taxpayer subsidies including Holtec.

From the ROADMAP website:

The Massachusetts Roadmap for Advanced Nuclear and Fusion Energy outlines a strategic vision for state leadership. By assessing current capabilities, identifying gaps and fostering collaboration among academia, industry, government and communities, the roadmap aims to position Massachusetts as a national and global leader in the transition to clean, advanced energy systems.

This form seeks to collect feedback from stakeholders who are unable to attend the planned engagement sessions. Please share any insights regarding opportunities and challenges, focusing on policy, infrastructure, workforce development, research, and community priorities.

Dear All,
As you know, the "Massachusetts Roadmap for Advanced Nuclear and Fusion Energy" session was postponed to March 3 and 6. Here is the link to sign up: https://www.uml.edu/Sustainability/research/nuclear-roadmap.aspx
At the bottom of that page is a feedback form where you can send along your comments and documents. I sent the attached slide from Dr. Lyman's state house program from Nov. 12. https://umasslowell.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0UoQOd4ikTXeyI6

The slides and video from the previous program are linked on that site page, too.
P.S. the state gave UMass Lowell professor Sukesh Aghara $250,000 for this work.

Any questions, let me know. Thank you for your ongoing work to protect our communities. Diane
Please share widely.
