Call to Action-Keep our democracy alive

Hi All,

I hope all of you had a wonderful summer. Now back to work!

 

There is action at the state house which requires our attention. Governor Healey's energy bill, H.4144, has a lot of good points. However, Sec. 45 repeals a 1982 state referendum that prohibits new nuclear power construction and operation without voter approval. We find this as an assault on our democratic process.  The bill is currently being considered in the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities, and Energy. We got word it is being fast tracked so now is the time for action. Both Senator Cyr and Senator Fernandes are on the committee so they need to hear from us.
