Someone wrote "letterpress" on one of the ides cards.

My father's estate has two.  One is a hand press which prints about 11"x17" and weighs about 200 lbs.  The other is motor driven, prints 8 1/2" x 11" and weighs closer to 800 lbs.  Both are old cast iron presses that "no atom bomb can kill", and were working fine when last used.  They have some type and other support equipment, though they have been idle for over 10 years so the rollers & inks may be shot.

If someone has a place to put them and a way to move them from a basement in East Longmeadow MA, I am sure they can be had for a very reasonable price.  The images at the bottom are not the exact presses but kind of what I remember they look like.

Email me at sherp...@comcast.net if you think you want them.

Very cool Douglas!  We don't have a space just yet; do they have to be moved out immediatly or is it something that could wait as we build steam with the Cape Cod Makers???

Thanks.

They will probably be available for a few months unless one of my brothers finds someone who wants them first.
