Site Leader, Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry (BSVM) – Full Time

The Site Leader will supervise and guide the BSVM volunteer community in Baltimore to fully engage in the charism of the Sisters of Bon Secours in order to fulfill Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry’s mission of creating “transformation through service with others.” In support of this mission, the Site Leader will lead the development of the volunteers’ intentional community, the development of the volunteer ministries, and the development of volunteer discernment and professional growth.  This is a full time position.

 

Responsibilities include:  Supervising BSVM Volunteers; leading volunteers in developing their own intentional Christian community; leading planning, coordination, and implementation of formation events; identifying service sites and service opportunities, ensuring the BSVM ministries/placement sites meaningfully inform the volunteers’ professional development and the volunteers’ discernment of a future vocation, particularly in health care, education, or social service; participating in the creation of a second community of Bon Secours Volunteers in Richmond, VA.

 

Minimum qualifications include:  Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Sociology, Education, Psychology/Human Development, or related field; five (5) years of work experience in a ministry position, education position, or student life; three (3) years working with young adults; understanding or willingness to understand the mission of BSVM and the Congregation of Bon Secours; understanding of Catholic Social Teachings; ability to relate to diverse populations.
