Dear all,

The CRPD Committee will hold its 3rd online regional consultation with people with disabilities and their representative organizations, this time in Asia Pacific, on “From isolation, invisibility and segregation into inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. Identifying and overcoming barriers to the successful process of deinstitutionalization”, as part of the process to develop guidelines on deinstitutionalization, including during times of emergencies. The session will take place on Wednesday 12 May 2021, at 2 p.m. Sydney time.

Please find attached the informative note.

In order to register and participate, please see point number 7 in the informative note. You will have to prepare a statement on what you would like to say of not more than 520 words, and submit it following the instructions by April 30th (deadline just extended!).
