08-09SEP:  FTX  (KEVIN)

10SEP: Practical Wx for Pilots (NICK)

22SEP:  Canoe Trip (JEFF)

24SEP:  Parent's Night (MILLARD)

29SEP:  Senior Trip (0830 depart) (Miami ATC Center (and FSS?), NICK)

(Need CAP Van for 29SEP trip)

FUTURE ACTIVITIES:

Seniors - Practical Weather for Pilots (NICK)

ALL - RC planes (CRAIG/Kevin)

ALL - Flight Safety Int'l (MILLARD)

ALL - Glider O-rides (November, DEAN)

Seniors - KSC VAB, etc. (JEFF investigating)

50/50 Fundraising:

CRAIG won last night and graciously donated his winnnigs back to the Squadron!

Our balance now is $102 which I will give to the Sqdn Finance Committee on 8/13.

All questions answered and all issues resolved.

Woefully lacking.  Needs focus ASAP.

1) Aviation Weather  (owner: Jeff, date: TBD)
2) Flight Review - Oral Prep  (owner: Dean, date: 18JUN)
3) Women in Aviation  (owner:  Margie, date: TBD)
4) Lifetime of being an airline pilot (owner:  Nick,  date:  TBD)
5) Visit Redbird sim at No County Flight Training (owner: Kevin, date: 25JUN)

Additional topics discussed:  PBSC Sim visit, FSS visit, social time (dinner), ground school refresher, FAA Reg review, flight developer from Sikorsky,

Cadet Support:

1)Parent's Meeting Night (owner: Millard,  date:  TBD)

2)Fund Raising (owner: all, brainstorming session date: TBD)
Interim activities:  50/50; Marketing brochure;  Kevin's visit to Jupiter Walmart, Margie's visit to 441 Walmart.  Purpose: determine if they will let us do recruiting and fund raising (bucket drop) at their stores.

Jeff is a qualified MS, Sherry is a MS trainee, Margie renewed her MS.
Sherry and Jeff plan to attend the MO class on June 16/17.

AE:
Nick has ideas and input re: AE.  Nick will discuss with Ken.

F5 & New Pilots:
New pilot meeting:   Saturday, 9am, Banyan at FXE
Nick - Flight Review and F5: Kevin, Col Bill, and Dean developed a plan with Nick.

50/50 (Seniors only):
Dean won!  The total pot was $40.  Dean graciously donated his $20 winnings back to the cadets.  Kevin has the mula and will give it to Sherry for deposit into sqdn (Wing) bank. 
Note: Jeff owes $5 and Millard owes $10 towards the pot.  THANK YOU to all of the seniors.

Kevin,

Is there an update for the O-rides?  Have time slots been made?

I will be out of town for a week, leaving Sat morn early.  If you have Avery on for Sat, I would ask if possible to move him to Sunday.  His Grandmother can get him there.

If that is not possible, he may have to withdraw depending on the time. I wasn’t sure which slot he received.

 

Can we make a decision to push the Parent dinner until Oct blues?  I will not be at the Monday meeting, and will not have email accessibility for the week I am gone.
