Good evening fellow AEOs,
By now your cadets have hopefully started working on their Wing Conference Aerospace Display Projects, or are at least thinking about it. I for one look forward to seeing what ideas our cadets come up with for privatized space flight. I always loved working on these projects as a cadet, and seeing the creativity and intelligence shown by all of the squadrons.
In addition to trying to win the competition, I'd like it if the squadrons could keep something else in mind for their work. The Boston Museum of Science has expressed an interest in having CAP cadets come in and make public presentations. I think that our AE displays would make an excellent format for this, since they are required to be educational to visitors already. I would appreciate it if you would consider having your projects in a format that you think could be done both at a CAP conference, and with the general public.
In return for coming in with these projects, the Museum of Science has previously offered to give cadets time on either the telescopes at their astronomical observatory, or on their solar observatory during the day. Both great opportunities!
This is a way for us to build relationships with other educational organizations, and to provide a public service. Both Maj Rosenbaum Lipman really like to see MAWG give this a try.
