From Tim and Audrey:

Hi All, Just a reminder that I will be showing the movie "Escape from
Suburbia" this evening at 6:30 at the library. Come and join me if the
description below sounds good.

In "Escape from Suburbia" the director moves us from the realm of theory and
despair to the real world, where practical solutions are experienced. We
follow the stories of three unique characters struggling to reinvent the
American Dream in their own lives. Expert opinion from government and
industry is balanced by on-the-street skepticism from an emerging movement
of citizen's groups confronting our addiction to oil in extraordinary ways.
The movie is a wake-up call that challenges the illusion of never-ending
growth and provides viable alternatives for citizens and communities working
at the local level to ensure the survival of a sustainable civilization in
the 21st century , and beyond.

Also, and more locally, please mark Thur. Feb 26, 6:30, Grand County Library
, on your calendar. Craig Hibbard and I will be sharing information learned
at the Smart Growth Conference I attended last month. This will be a chance
for all of us to look at what is working and what is not in other
communities, and eventually link it to how we would like to see our area
look in the future. None of this is for policy-making, simply for
encouraging dialog and learning from one another. I would encourage you to
invite realtors, builders and developers you may know as well! Thanks all,
Audrey
