Wrapping up quickly, this unique and popular guide is getting its
finishing touches in preparation for the 30,000 printed issues expected
in early 2007. Canyon Lake Times Guardian is facilitating the
advertising and printing and Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is placing
our Business Membership Directory in this guide. This year's
publication includes the Business Name, Phone Number, Website and Email
address. All current Chamber Business Members will be included, at no

"Looking at the Lake" KGNB 1420 AM Radio Show Thursdays @ 1:00 PM
Gain exposure and tell an audience of 65,000 listeners about your
business details! The Chamber's weekly radio show, "Looking at the
Lake" airs each Thursday at 1:00 PM. Grab a sponsorship spot before
they are gone! January 4 and January 25 (great timing for announcing
something new for 2007) are available. Sponsors receive a full 8
minutes dedicated to their business for only $250 per show. Payment

CHAMBER ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET is set for January 20, 2007 at Canyon
Lake Cabins & Cottages OUTBACK HALL at 6:00 PM, and catered by Ed's
Old Windmill Restaurant. Robert Maxwell Case will provide the musical
entertainment. Awards will be presented based on YOUR NOMINATIONS!
Make your nomination for Community Spirit Award, Business of the Year
and Beautification Business of the Year. Look for the Nomination Forms
in the Dec/Jan Newsletter available online! Tickets are on sale at the
Chamber - $20 per person. Cocktails at 6:00 PM; Dinner at 7:00 PM.

The next Chamber Business After Hours Mixer will be held Tuesday,
February 27, 2007 at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Hill Country at 6:00
PM.
One person we overlooked among the many THANKS is Clint Epley. Clint
is the husband of Linda Epley, a very valuable Volunteer at the Chamber
and they are owners of Canyon Bend Storage. Clint is a huge supporter
and assists with just about everything. Clint usually gathers,
installs, and then tears down the tents we put up for many events.
Clint helps before, during and after Chamber events and does not go
unnoticed! Clint helped with the 2006 Christmas Parade preparations,
building and removing the stage, and setting up the PA system. Clint
has a special collection of Buick Riviera's of which he loaned out a
beautiful black, 1965 Riviera for our Executive Director, Jaynellen
Ladd, to drive in the Christmas Parade! This is just a mention of the
many things Clint provides for the Chamber. You are appreciated!

HABITAT FOR SAFE SENIORS
Habitat For Safe Seniors has a lot of great community projects in the
works, targeting help for our local Senior Citizens. Habitat should
have received its second shipment of Handicap Ramps, with only the cost
of shipping being the immediate expense. Relying on donations and
grants, Habitat helps Seniors year-round. Expenses like shipping are

CANYON LAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is hosting the 2007 Winter Texan
Reception being held February 8, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. - Noon, at
CRRC. Near 200 guests attended last year. This year, like last, there
will be entertainment, food, door prizes and fun getting together! The
Chamber is adding a new feature - information tables! You may
'rent' one-half of a 6 ft. table to display your information, and
of course, be on hand to answer questions and tell about your business,
for only $10. Watch for details to come as the time nears. Space will
be limited. On the same note, we also give away "Welcome" bags to
our guests, so be thinking about what you would like us to include in
