Jaynellen Ladd, Executive Director, attended the 28th Annual Dallas
Home & Garden Show at Market Hall March 2, 3 and 4th, which also
featured Vacation, Leisure & Outdoor Show. Material distributed: 800-
plus 2007 Canyon Lake Visitor & Relocation Guides, 600 Visitor Pocket
Guides, 500 Canyon Lake Area Maps. The 2007 CL Visitor & Relocation
Guides were gone by noon on Sunday. Two of the most popular things
said were "Is this in Texas?" and "Where is this?" Between San
Antonio and Austin gave guests a general idea, but when 15 minutes
west of New Braunfels was mentioned, folks understood where Canyon
Lake is! Many folks from both recent shows have said they were diving
certified in our lake. For information about this show or booth
partnership at future shows, please contact Jaynellen Ladd at
964-2223. Visit TexasHomeandGarden.com for show schedule.
Recently, I was asked if I was going to fire an employee who made a
mistake that cost the company $600,000. No, I replied, I just spent
$600,000 training him. Why would I want somebody to hire his
experience? ~ Thomas J. Watson
KCWM 1460 AM Radio's DJ, Roy Holley, who is also partner to Rob
Carter, of Bobcat Musical, has offered free airtime to Jaynellen Ladd,
Executive Director, to promote the Canyon Lake & Guadalupe River
areas! Roy offers a half-hour show, once monthly. KCWM 1460 AM airs
from Hondo, Texas and reaches Bandera and Blanco, for example. The
Chamber will be promoting area events, attractions, and whatever our
members let us know about! Listen to the LIVE Broadcasts at 12:30 PM
March 8, April 12, May 10. For more information, contact the Chamber.
