CHAMBER BUSINESS

'STARS OVER CANYON LAKE' - Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce &
Tish's Décor & More invites you to participate in our "Stars Over
Canyon Lake" Christmas Project. The STARS will brighten the skies and
businesses of our community attracting many visitors to our area and at
the same time benefiting two of our very worthy community non-profit
organizations. There are two sizes of stars - a 3-foot for $45 and a
4-foot for $65. $10 from the sale of each star will be donated to New
Life Children's Treatment Center and the CRRC - Community Resource
and Recreation Center. The 4-foot star is on a stake and both are
outlined with rope lights. They can be mounted on a roofline, porch or
staked in the ground. The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce encourages
all businesses to get behind this project and light up Canyon Lake! In
an effort to join together all sides and areas of the lake, our plan is
to place four sponsored STARS in each of our three main towns -
Startzville, Sattler and Hancock. We are seeking Sponsors for each
star at a cost of $65 each. Sponsors will be mentioned in this weekly
email, during "Looking at the Lake", our weekly radio show and
included in the December/January Newsletter. Our hope is also that
many businesses will purchase these STARS to help benefit New Life and
CRRC, or simply join in the community spirit and put up your own
lighted stars and star decor!

Get behind the Project and Light Up Canyon Lake! 964-6050.

THANK YOU!

"LOOKING AT THE LAKE" KGNB 1420 AM Radio Show, Thursday, 1:00 PM

Tune in on Thursdays at 1:00pm to KGNB 1420 AM to listen to Looking at
the Lake, our 30-minute show focused on local issues, news, membership,
announcements and events going on for the upcoming 7-day period. We
offer our members the opportunity to sponsor this show each week. The
sponsor's spot is a 'dedicated 8-minutes' plus four 15-second
mentions throughout the program. Write your own script, perform it
yourself, or we will have someone present it for you. We began a new
13-week cycle of shows this week and are seeking Sponsors. As a
sponsor, you would host one show every four weeks (approximately) and
be billed after each show airs. A previous cost for this show was $300
per show. We just entered into a new commitment with KGNB for one year!
With the new commitment, our new cost for each show is $250. This is
a great deal and the Chamber passes on the savings to you by charging
exactly what we are charged. If you are interested in securing a spot
to promote your business throughout Comal, Hayes and Guadalupe Counties
to over 65,000 listeners, please contact Jaynellen Ladd at 830-964-2223
or by email to exe...@canyonlakechamber.com. Take advantage of this
specially priced deal for Chamber Members, and expose your business.

COUNTY BOAT RAMP REVAMPING: Taking advantage of the low water level,
Comal County commissioners approved a contract to 'cross-grid' the
county's eight boat ramps on Canyon Lake. In response to concern
about the difficulty of launching and exiting the old, slick type
county boat ramps, cross-grid grinding and scoring of the boat ramp
concrete surface will help provide the needed traction when folks are
trying to put their boats into the water and especially when they are
pulling out of the water. Work on each ramp will take about a day and
will be completed in this order: #1 (done today!), #2, #5, #6, #7, #8,
and #22. #23 is completed.

Pick up current fishing reports at the Visitor's Center.

We have new, color River Road maps in stock - available for $4.

Numerous participants and sponsors are letting us know they will be a
part of the parade again this year.

Form is also available on the Chamber website. Prize categories will be
"Christmas Past," "Christmas Present," and "Christmas Future." Entry
