Thanks to all who signed up to answer phones!

WATCH TONIGHT! Blue Man Group performs! Lots of fun!

Current Conditions

The US Army Corps of Engineers has been able to release a substantial
amount of water from Canyon Lake, beginning Tuesday, July 31, since
major flooding downstream has lessened and waters in Canyon Lake have
mounted. Water and weather conditions in and around our area will be
constantly evaluated, with changes relayed as usual.

Current Elevation
922.00 (2:00pm)

Normal Elevation
909.00

Release 5540 cfs

Canyon Lake

With Canyon Lake's level being approximately 13 feet above normal
elevation, some boat ramps have been affected as has some access to
these ramps and to some lake-side roads. With over 5000 cfs being
released, the lake level is steadily dropping. Comal County boat
ramps currently closed will open as water recedes, but the Corps of
Engineers boat ramps will open when the ramp area is dry. Boating
activity and fishing on Canyon Lake continues. Boat with caution due
to some debris.

COE Parks, Hiking Trails, Swim Beaches and Canyon Lake Boat Ramps #1 -
#23

North Park and Cranes Mill Park: OPEN. OPEN BOAT RAMPS #1, 2, 5, 6,
7, 8. Canyon Lake has 7 Corps of Engineers Parks, some with swim
beaches, several with hiking trails and has 23 boat ramps around its
shoreline with #11 being upriver. As of today, North Park and Cranes
Mill Park are open, with the rest closed temporarily due to high
water. A few ramps are affected at this time. Open ramps are #1, 2,
5, 6, 7, 8. Those temporarily closed are #3 and #4 within Comal Park,
#10 on the west side of Cranes Mill Park, #17 within Little Jacob's
Creek Park, and #20 and #21 within Potter's Creek Park. The Fishing
Dock is currently closed. Boating is allowed - boat with caution due
to some debris and the possibility of underwater foliage. For a
detailed map of boat ramps on Canyon Lake, including low and high
water closure levels, click here: BOAT RAMP MAP.

Guadalupe River Flow Below Canyon Dam

The current release of the Guadalupe River below Canyon Dam is 5540
cfs. Guided raft trips only; closed for tubing.

As always, we highly recommend you to check with an Outfitter before
boarding the river for the latest river conditions. Outfitters want
you to have a great time, but safety is a priority. The outfitters
listed in the above link will be aware of current conditions.

July's Business After-Hours Mixer was graciously hosted by Whitewater
on the Horseshoe Live Music Amphitheater and held in the lovely
Biergarten. This mixer was a huge fund-raiser for our Precinct 1 and
4 Constables, Shane Rapp and Ben Scroggin. The official amount raised
is $5,018.00!! $5 at the gate got you a chance to win a 3-night stay
and golf package at Silverleaf - Hill Country Resort's Holiday Hills
Resort in Branson, Missouri valued at $700 along with framed artwork
from Dow's Custom Framing. Global Solutions' Terry Hopper was the
winner! Other top raffle items were a 3-1/2 hour Ski Boat Rental from
Canyon Lake Boat Club at Cranes Mill Marina, two separate certificates
for 1-hour massages by Back 'N Shape, two ½ hour flight time
helicopter rides from Silver State Helicopters, two separate
certificates for massage and "La Stone" therapy massage from Healing
Hands Massage Studio and Art Gallery, and last but not least, a VIP
Skybox for 16 guests to the August 11th Spazmatics, 32 drink tickets,
8 parking passes from Whitewater on the Horseshoe Live Music
Amphitheater valued at $1,600. So, folks went away happy for their
winnings and because it all went to such a good cause. Even the huge
downpour during the mixer didn't hamper the results or the fun, as we
broke last year's record!
