Celebrate Independence!

That time is here again. We'd love to see you and yours at our place
this
Fourth of July. As usual things will get started around 3PM or so.
We'll have
The Ribs, The Chicken, The Corn, the nibbles and, of course, The Fish
House
Punch. Most everything else is pot luck. So hope to see you then!

Directions to the Smith-Carlile house in Canyon

Take Highway 24 to Orinda and exit to the south onto Moraga Way.
Drive 5 miles on Moraga Way into Moraga and turn right (just after
the
Safeway) onto Canyon Road.
Drive 2 miles on Canyon Road and turn right onto Pinehurst.
Drive about 1.5 miles on Pinehurst and turn into the Post Office
parking area
to the right.
Our house is 0.3 mile up from the Post Office on the paved road. This
means
you should take a sharp left as soon as you come up the steep ramp
from the
P.O.

On July 4th, there won't be any parking at the house, so you should
be
prepared either to park at the Post Office or a clear area off the
road above
or below our house.

Wherever you park, it's important to leave a clearance of at least 15
feet so
that an emergency vehicles could pass.
