Canvas client-side OAuth flow

I noticed in the API authentication docs that Canvas doesn't yet support the "token" form of OAuth, which is used for OAuth authentication from the client. Does Canvas plan to add that option?

(To clarify that a bit, I'm talking about the OAuth request that involves one GET request with a redirect, not a GET with a redirect followed by a POST.)
