Hi! Is there a plan for support SCORM objects in Canvas? I think many
universities ask for this kind of elements.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can use SCORM packages in Canvas. There is one caveat: because SCORM is a JavaScript specification and JavaScript is run and managed from within the browser (under the user's full control), it isn't secure. Because of this insecurity, Canvas does not allow SCORM packages to write grades into the grade book. If it did, students would essentially be able to write their own grades - something no one wants.

In short, you can definitely use them. You just can't use them for grading (nor do you want to).

Thank you for useful answer. I'd love to know if there is a tool to create Modules Package to import to Canvas , instead of using direct browser editing ?

Sounds like using the REST API endpoint for Modules is your best bet:

Actually, Yeah we DO want to Update Grades! And we want to do it from cell phones and tablets, because grading in a clinical situation is labor intensive and the instructors could really benefit from on-the-spot access to grading functions.

Canvas is top-heavy and slow. I haven't searched to see if there is a mobile version available, which could/maybe/might relieve some of the workload . . . .
