Problem in file preview

Hi,

I've seen that Canvas allows to preview and /or download a file, link from Pages or from the Syllabus description. However, in our installation we never manage to get this working. Whenever the preview icon is clicked the following message appears:

"Sorry, we were unable to find the document at the original source. Verify that the document still exists.

You can also try to download the original document by clicking here."

This happens with any type of file (PDF, Word, RTF). Firstly, I thought we had to enable the Scribd plugin, so I created an account and got the information needed to enable the plugin. Even after that, the preview of the file is not displayed. :(

Is there anything we need to further setup in Canvas?

I met this issue, too. It works like this:
- If you've already uploaded a file BEFORE the Scribd plugin was enabled, then the file will not be shown in the file preview when you enable the Scribd plugin.
- If you uploaded the file AFTER the Scribd plugin was enabled, then the file get showned normally.

I guess the problem is inside the config of the uploaded file at the time it was uploaded, not at the time it is loaded.

Hi, thanks for the hint.

The files uploaded after Scribd was enabled didn't display either. The same message came up.

But thanks to Cody Cutrer, I enabled the Google Docs plugin and now the files display as expected. :)
