Hi,

I've developed some course on the canvas instructure portal,
and now I've had my own version twisted up

At this point I'm trying to export the course, which seems to work, and then import it into my own instance, which fails miserably with a"ContentMigration:6:"

Any clues anybody?

Hi Marty,

I think this problem may be along the same lines as I was having with
my course imports. The full thread is here
http://groups.google.com/group/canvas-lms-users/browse_thread/thread/74865d263eb98ccc.

Basically you need to install the QTI migration tool from
https://github.com/instructure/QTIMigrationTool/wiki. Then copy the
"external_migration.yml.example" file to "external_migration.yml" in
the config directory.

I think this will fix your problem.

Hi Tyler,

Thanks for the reply
It could be that same problem

I tried the suggested solution earlier, but it didn't appear to work
Mind you I had a number of other issues, primarily memory related, and
more, leading to an upgrade to 2GB ram and a reboot

Long winded way of saying we'll give it another go and let you know

So far I'm seeing patterns of problems that match many of what others
are reporting here

Email issues (submission)
Import issues from fundamental processes that didn't make it into the
install script
File Add issues - both kinds

At the course level, Canvas seems to run very well indeed
At the Admin level, well let's just say that I'd love to know what the
product roadmap looks like
