how do create a plugin for canvas lms ?

Hello ,

i just want to create a plugin for my canvas server ,
i used method defined in http://guides.rubyonrails.org/plugins.html
but it is not visible to the plugin list page of the canvas

Please help me.

In order for a plugin to show up at /plugins you need to register it. See https://github.com/sfu/canvas_spaces/blob/master/lib/canvas_spaces/engine.rb for an example. However, this isn't required for your plugin to work; it is only needed if you want to expose a UI for enabling/disabling your plugin and storing settings.

Hello Graham ,
i tride as per your suggestion but still it is not visible to the plugins list

here is my path "canvasfolder/gem/plugin/wiziq/lib/wiziq/engine.rb"

please help me ASAP

Are you trying to create a plugin for wiziq? I believe Canvas has dropped support for WizIq

You can find wiziq plugin in this release:
https://github.com/instructure/canvas-lms/tree/06dfa7fb6ddeb0fc63a31c723586e620ebbfbe5d
It's in /vendor/plugins/wiziq.

I believe, but just copying the folder wiziq from this old release to the release
that you have, should get it back working.

yes i am trying to create a plugin for wiziq ,but to new release of canvas LMS, i have latest release of canvas
LMS,can you give me any Suggestion / Resource / Document to create a plugin for canvas

Sewak,

Did you create the gemspec? The error is that it's looking for gems/plugins/wiziq/wiziq.gemspec, and either not finding one, or the one it found is not valid.
