Canvas Studio Player

I have a successful self-hosted Canvas running but we cannot figure out why the videos are not playing. We can upload a video to the files for a course but when we try to embed the video in the course (or preview it via the Files) we get the following message:

Your media has been uploaded and will appear here after processing.

It appears the videos are not being processed.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

Forgot to ask does anybody know how to use the Canvas Studio Player?

Hi Jim, the Canvas video player is not part of the open source solution. You have to host the videos in Vimeo, Youtube or any other LTI platform that can be integrated with your Canvas.

Canvas Studio is an optional module for Instructure hosted Canvas, with additional video features (video quizzez, video catalog, automatic subtitles, etc.).

Ok thanks for that info. I thought I had seen that the just the player was part of it.
