Canvas backup and restore

Hi!

I need some instructions how to backup one Canvas instance and to
restore it to another instance (another server).
I have tried this with just coping the 2 databases from one server to
another, but Canvas reports an error after that.

Are there some settings which need to be changed, so the 2. instance
can use the database from the 1. one?
Do I need to copy any files from Canvas folder?

You should be able to copy just the database files and the
config/*.yml files and that should be it.

Of course, if you're using local storage (not S3), you'll likely want
to backup your tmp/files folder as well.

If for some reason you are running a newer version of Canvas after the
backup gets restored, you may want to run rake db:migrate to make sure
any recent database changes in the codebase take effect.

I will try it. Perhaps I had a problem with different version of
Canvas.
I'll try to update the database...
