Enabling the public course index in Canvas Open Source

Hi,

could someone help in how to enable a page with the public courses
index, in order to allow students to self-register in their courses?
We are using Canvas open source.

My understanding is that this feature doesn't exist yet, despite the checkbox on the course settings page. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

We actually just merged a simple course catalog feature on the master branch. The "My Courses" page will have a "Browse more courses" link that will show the list of all courses with this setting turned on.

Public course index has to be enabled under account settings -> Feature options -> Course catalog. When enabled the link http://canvas.url/search/all_courses is active.
