Our university has a Canvas installation running for internal usage. One of our teachers would want the students on his course to be able to see their fellow students' email addresses. It would appear that even if a new email address was added like on
this guide, other students can't still see this newly added email. On the guide it reads "
You can add additional email addresses that your classmates can use to contact you.". I would understand that means that the new address would appear as a "Ways to contact this person".Can anyone explain me how are classmates able to new email addresses to contact other students? Is there a bug that it won't show on a person's profile as a way to contact or is that intended?
Also, another question related to messaging. It would appear that if I masquerade as a student and view another student's profile, I can't even see the quick link to send the other student a mail via Canvas messaging system on the "Ways to Contact". What's up with that? Why can't the students see the messaging link? The student's can send each others messages using the Inbox, but they have to look for the person by the name then.
