Please note Tyne canvas boats on here are canoes not kayaks. Tyne made
folding canoes,they are similar in design to the Klepper, as they were
made and sold by a German owned company. I own a Tyne canvas and a
Granta canvas with sailing rig, and a Klepper, i believe all of these
were made and marketed as canoes, i would appreciate other comments
from forum members. regards Tony

Old post but interesting topic...

So how to differentiate Canoe or Kayak?

I built a couple of two-person CLC Mill Creeks which I think properly could be referred to as Double Paddle Canoes or as tandem Kayaks.

I've also built a PBK 27 (Sea Scout), which Percy Blandford sold as a canoe, yet I believe that P.B.K. stands for Percy Blandford Kayak.
