mandatory summer playtime

Hi friends!

Can't wait to see all of you on Friday!  While playing with babies in the newborn nursery today, Kendra and I were talking about having a Team 9B retreat some time this summer to celebrate how awesome we all are at clinics and life in general.  I would love for us all to make the trek outside the city to my parents' house for grilling, swimming, and hot-tubbing.  

Pool season will officially open in a few weeks at the Hostetler household, so if people are interested we should find a weekend sometime this summer that works for everybody to drive out for a day or an evening or whatever.  I was thinking that after our MD friends have their two-week break might be best so that people aren't stressing over shelf exams (and MD-PhD peeps will clearly need a night off from studying for Step 1).  Let me know what you guys think!

My parents are very accommodating and eager to meet you all, so you will feel more than welcome!  Plus we have a small white dog at home for those who could use some puppy therapy :)

Hey team!

Would love to have you all over to the suburbs for swimming.  Shall we pick a weekend afternoon/evening in July or August that will work for the most people?  I will be away the weekend of Aug 2nd and 3rd, but other weekends would work for me.  Please let me know which weekends would work best for you!

Sounds like Saturday July 12th works the best for almost everyone (Jared get your scheduling act together)!  Let's plan on our playdate starting mid-afternoon, like 2 PM until whenever.  That way there will be ample time for swimming in the sunshine and firing up the grill later on in the day.  Please also feel free to bring along your significant other/better half/spouse, the more the merrier!

My parents' house is about a 30-40 minute drive from the city.  There is also a regional rail that will get you most of the way there, but you would still need to be picked up from the station.  Either will work, so we should determine over the next couple of weeks who is able to drive so we can arrange rides.  I can probably borrow Risha's car and I will have 3 open spots.
