Greetings all. Trimaris' own JP Corwyn (Baron Corwyn Moray) Had a fantastic performance in Orlando this past weekend. It was fantastic enough that the venue has invited him back.

At Corwyn's request, I am doing a little polling of the populace to see what kind of support there is for a variety of shows. It is very important that everyone understand that there is no WRONG answer, it is simply a matter of means.

Corwyn has told me that there will definitely be some Fri/Sat shows in the future, but the venue has expressed an interest in some Thursday shows as well. As this is the night that we have our weekly meetings (which I did let him know), he wanted to know if a weekday evening performance would draw enough people to make it worth the trip. Simply stated, if only 5 die-hard fans are going to show up to see him and not patronize the venue that is hosting… it is not worth the Thursday show and he will likely only do the Fri/Sat show.

The venue is Café Annie on Orange Ave downtown (near the courthouse). I believe the plan would be for the show to start after our meeting would end. Café Annie does have a food menu and a full bar. Information about the venue can be found here: http://www.cafeannie.net/index.html. There would be a cover charge for the show.

No dates have been set as of yet. I would encourage anyone who is interested to contact Corwyn directly, or contact me and I will get the message to him with any opinions, questions, or comments you might have.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled activities.

This seems to be a mundane business venture, which is not appropriate for an SCA email list.  It has nothing to do with the SCA, except making money for a specific, individual SCAdian.  The performances mentioned in the email, are not planned for an SCA event, but for a mundane venue.

In fact, I thought that our policies expressly prohibited the use of SCA resources for the benefit of a specific individual.  If not, then we should all be allowed to utilize this email list to advertise our personal businesses.

Pardon my ignorance but I have only been in Trimaris since August 2005 and am ignorant of what kind of shows our Baron Corwyn Moray does.
