Thank you to everybody who came to our first meeting! As promised, here is the presentation:

What did you think? How could we improve the presentation for future meetings?

Thanks for yor presentation.  I would like more information on actually searching for books.  Ophelia mentioned something about advance searches, but I did not find that in the slides.

However,
I downloaded 2 books but they are in my account

@Joanne — As of September 1, 2010, we no longer offer one-on-one appointments with a librarian. However, we are holding an eBook Basics class on May 27th where Ophelia would be happy to address your questions and go over the download procedure.

@Joan — Ophelia will be posting a reply on this thread soon with more information about OverDrive's advanced search functionality. For now, you can access the advanced search feature at http://ebooks.cantonpl.org/10/251/en/AdvancedSearch.htm

Thanks!,

@Joanne--Go to this link to review the downloading steps as
demonstrated in My Help Beta on the top left corner of the screen.

http://ebooks.metronet.lib.mi.us/633181BE-A6DA-47C2-AB86-EBC71EFA2292/10/251/en/Default.htm

Write me again about specific problems if you still have them. The May
27th class might be helpful to you. Brad gave you the link for that
class. It requires registration, and it will be held in the I-Lab.

@ Joan-- Advanced search offers you more search criteria. Here you can
search for the format that you want (ePub) and titles that are
available. Use the link that Brad gave you and give it a try. Remember
you can always just browse and do a simple search too.

@ Joanne--What kind of eReader do you have? After the book is
downloaded and open in Adobe Digital Editions, plug in your reader,
(authorize the reader if this is the first time it's plugged in), drag
and drop book cover onto the reader icon on the left column of the ADE
screen. Does this help?
