I am thinking of buying the Yamaha YSP-2700 for the Samsung JU6400 75 Inch TV in another room. BUT, am now thinking of having the YSP-2700 with the above components and just moving the YSP-5600 to the backroom to be paired with the Samsung JU6400 75 Inch TV again. Obviously the YSP-2700 does not have ATMOS (not sure I've actually heard it to be honest in previous setup).

Does anyone know why the manual for the YSP-5600 advanced settings does not have any detail re 4K mode, but the same menu in the system from the 2700 is there in the 5600 settings? Am I missing something. The 5600 manual does not appear to have been updated there to have 4K mode 1 and 2. Please help?

As the weather warms up, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is ramping up construction on highway projects across the state, and asking Utahns to be careful while driving through work zones.

In 2023, UDOT has 217 projects scheduled to start or already under construction, with a combined value of $3.2 billion. This means there will be 217 different work zones across the state where drivers will need to use caution and stay alert to keep themselves and construction crews safe.

Projects scheduled to start or already under construction in 2023 include a brand-new highway, new interchanges, widened freeways and highways, new paths for pedestrians and cyclists, maintenance to keep roads and bridges in good condition, and improved access to a new state park.

This project will construct four new freeway-style interchanges with on- and off-ramps at 2700 West, 13400 South, 9800 South, and 4700 South, eliminating stoplights at four more intersections for drivers on Bangerter Highway. Construction is scheduled to start this summer.

UDOT will reconstruct the 5600 South interchange on I-15 in Roy near Hill Air Force Base, and widen 5600 South from three lanes to five lanes between 1900 West and 3500 West. This project will also build a new trail system for pedestrians and cyclists. These improvements will help area residents get around more easily, whether they are walking, biking or driving. Construction is scheduled to start this summer.

Crews will widen 9000 South between Redwood Road and 700 West from five to seven lanes, replace pavement on 9000 South from 700 West to State Street, and add bike lanes to the road. This project will improve the condition of the road and enhance safety for drivers, and help traffic flow more efficiently. Construction is scheduled to start this summer.

Work is underway to add a new interchange on I-15 at Main Street in Washington City, near St. George. This project will also widen I-15 to create a new travel lane in each direction, and will improve traffic flow and access to Washington City from I-15. Construction started this spring.

Crews will widen SR-108 between West Point and Clinton, adding a new travel lane in each direction along with a new multi-use path. This project will improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists, and helps traffic flow more smoothly. Construction is scheduled to start this spring.

UDOT will widen Redwood Road in Taylorsville from 6200 South to the I-215 interchange, and add lanes to the eastbound and westbound on-ramps to I-215. Doing this will help drivers get through this area more efficiently and safely. Construction started earlier this month.

This project replaces sections of concrete pavement north of Heber City as well as the bridge driving surface at the Mayflower exit. This maintenance work will improve the condition of the road and extend the life of the bridge. Construction started in 2022.

UDOT is widening Pleasant Grove Boulevard to make it easier to access northbound I-15. This project also widens the Pleasant Grove Boulevard/North County Boulevard intersection to add new turning lanes, installs new traffic signals, and repaves sections of North County Boulevard. This will improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers in a fast-developing area of Utah County. Construction started earlier this spring.

Crews are replacing or improving lane markings on I-15 from Payson to Lehi, which will make these markings easier for drivers to see in all conditions. This is the first phase of a larger project that will eventually include many other sections of freeway along the Wasatch Front. Construction started earlier this spring.

This maintenance project will replace the driving surface on two bridges and complete various repairs on nine others near Nephi. It will enhance safety and provide a smoother ride for drivers. Construction is scheduled to start this spring.

Crews will add new passing lanes on US-191 north of Moab and improve access to the new Utahraptor State Park. This project will make a popular recreation area more accessible to Utahns as well as out-of-state visitors. Construction is scheduled to start this summer.

With all these work zones in place or starting up, UDOT reminds drivers to use caution, be alert and obey posted signs and speed limits. In construction zones, lanes can be narrow, pavement may be uneven, and crews and equipment may be working close to traffic.

Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. For the latest information on highway construction, traffic, and weather conditions, visit the UDOT Traffic website or download the UDOT Traffic app for iPhone or Android. Drivers can also follow UDOT on social media including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

5600 West BRT is a proposed bus rapid transit (BRT) line in western Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, that will be operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and will run along 5600 West (SR-172). Initially, it will only run along a short segment almost entirely within West Valley City, with a connection to Downtown Salt Lake City. However, it will eventually run from South Jordan to the Salt Lake City International Airport.) It is the fifth of several BRT lines that UTA either operates or has planned for in Utah County and the Salt Lake Valley.[2] UTA's BRT is described by UTA as "light rail on rubber tires".[3] While it was initially planned for phase 1 of the project to be completed in 2015,[1] the project is currently stalled.

Phase 2 will extend the route to a total of 24 miles (39 km)[1] from Herriman to the Salt Lake City International Airport, with the bus connection to Downtown Salt Lake City being eliminated. Phase 2 will also include connections to four TRAX stations: the Airport station on the Green Line and the 5600 West Old Bingham Highway, South Jordan Parkway, and Daybreak Parkway stations on the Red Line. Phase 2 was originally estimated to be completed sometime before 2025.[1] Phase 3 calls for the eventual replacement of this BRT line with a TRAX light rail line along the entire Phase 2 corridor. There is no estimated completion date for Phase 3, except that it will not be until after Phase 2.[1]

In 2010, while expressing their support for the 5600 West BRT, West Valley City indicated that they do not ever foresee the need for a light rail line along South 5600 West. Of particular concern was UTA's plans to secure the additional right of way necessary for a future TRAX line. UTA responded to the objections by indicating that the TRAX line may not be built for several decades, but added that "It's always better to overplan and underconstruct than the other way around."[4]

The initial route will begin with a stop at 6200 South (Bennion Boulevard/SR-173) on South 5600 West on the southern edge of Kearns. (This point is also the southern terminus of State Route-172.) A Park and Ride lot is planned in the area of this stop. From this stop it will head north along South 5600 West, crossing Lodestone Avenue (at about 6000 South) and West 5655 South (Plumbago Avenue/Vista Ridge Way), until it enters West Valley City.
