HI everyone,

 

I’ve just updated the site with the following information about weapons check (http://www.comrades.org.nz)

 

“ The following equipment must be submitted for control:

1.       All Masks

2.       Lame Jackets (and sabre gloves/gauntlets)

3.       Body-wires

Remaining equipment will be inspected on the piste, this includes compliance with the clothing and equipment standards outlined above.  Damaged or ill fitting clothing or gloves will also be inspected with a view always to the fencer’s safety.

Weapons control will be available on Friday evening (see schedule), and for an hour prior to each event.”

 

The weapons check on Friday starts at 7pm at the venue and is aimed mainly at local fencers, although all are welcome.  I’d like to get all local fencers through weapons check the week prior to the event so that out of town fencers can quickly get gear checked before their events.  If you’re Wellington/Hutt based and can’t make it out on that Friday let me know ASAP and if there is enough people in a similar position I’ll look into organizing checks at your club.
