problems with running exe file built with Visual Studio on another computer

Hi!

I created executive file using Cantera's libraries with Visual Studio v12 and this exe-file  runs well on my compter (Windows 8) . But this exe-file doesn't work on another computer (Windows 7). Could you advise me what kind of files I need to transfer with my exe-file?

p.s. I tried to transfer  dlls from Cantera (cantera_shared.dll) and boost(66 files of dlls) into folder with my exe-file on another computer, but it didn't work.

Hi,

What is the error message that you get? Do you have the corresponding Visual Studio runtime library installed on the other computer? If you're using MSVC 12.0, I think you want the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.

If that isn't the problem, you can try opening the EXE in Dependency Walker (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) to see what files it thinks it's missing.
