Hi,

I have previously used CEA to obtain CJ detonation parameters. Guess it wouldn't be that hard to implement this using Cantera, but maybe this has  already been done, and exists as an example somewhere?

Hi Jon,
You may want to check Joe Shepherd’s Shock and Detonation Toolbox, which is compatible with an older version of Cantera.

Thanks!
Sounds interesting, but a bit put off since it seems to require an older version of Cantera, as well as matlab.

Jon,

We are working on updating the Python scripts to work with 2.1 – mostly just involves changing the call to the numeric libraries.  The matlab scripts will run as is with 2.1 without any modifications.   I hope to have new libraries and instructions posted soon.

I spent a couple of hours today updating the python scripts in the SDToolbox and in the demos.  I think that I have them all working now (I have only run them under Python 2.7 and Windows Cantera 2.1), but haven't given them a critical look as of yet.  Cursory glancing at the output looked OK.

I plan on sharing them with my combustion class, but these really belong to Joe S and his group.  All I did was some editing.  If they want them I will send them.

Hi Dave,
I have been waiting for updated python scripts for the SDToolbox. I was hoping you could send me the scripts you took the time to update that work with Cantera 2.1 and Python 2.7.
Thanks in advance,

Here is what I have and on my machine they are stored under a directory called SDToolbox in the site-packages.  That name is consistent with the old name, but not consistent with the new naming conventions.

I hope this helps.
