Hi everyone,

Looking through the documentation for PFR (https://cantera.org/science/reactors/pfr.html), it looks like surface species are not handled correctly, see bottom of the documentation: While equation (5) is correct, equation (6) should have the surface coverage of species 0 on the left hand side, not the flux of that species. I'm not sure if this is just a problem with the documentation, or also implemented erroneously in the class FlowReactor. Looking at the file FlowReactor.h didn't get me an answer, so I'm posting this question here now.

Thank you for your help,
Julian

Hi Julian,

Thanks for reporting this issue. It appears to be a problem only with the documentation. The actual equation implemented in the code (in FlowReactor.cpp) is simply \sum_i \theta_i - 1 = 0 (summed over all species).

Regards,
Ray
