Hello Cantera community,

I am in search of articles which contain reaction mechanisms describing the production of CH4 involving surface metal catalysts (e.g. Sabatier reaction or a Fischer–Tropsch process). My google searches have led to catalytic destruction/combustion of methane. So not what I'm looking for.

Any wisdom/advise is much appreciated!

Cheers,
Nick

Hey Nick,

a week ago I found this piece:
There's even a link to the chemkin data on https://www.detchem.com/mechanisms.
I'm having a hard time implementing this files into a working *.cti file, so give me a sign, if you've found a sound way.

cheers and have fun

Thanks so much! This looks like a great spot to start. I'm also having a hard time converting to *.cti. I'll put some work into it and let you know if I succeed.

Cheers,
Nick

There's even an very "easy" mechanism in this publication, that I use in my cantera model:

It is purely aimed at CO2 methanation on Ni catalyst but the mechanism is quite easy.

have a great day
