Just found CanTango, decided to try it out.  First I added the cantango-permits gem to my Gemfile.  Immeditely after, I tried to run "rake -T" to see if it added any new rake tasks, and got this error:

ofer@shinybox:~/src/myapp$ rake -T
rake aborted!
uninitialized constant CanTango::Helpers

Here's what was installed:

Installing cancan (1.6.8)
Installing cantango-core (0.1.9.3)
Installing cantango-config (0.2.1)
Installing cantango-api (0.1.3)
Installing cantango-permits (0.1.1)

Any suggestions?

Also, the docs for cantango-permits don't mention any rake tasks, or where the config file is expected to be.  Do the docs from the original cantango that mention running "rails g cantango:install" still apply?

I understand cantango-permits is the refactoring project, and is still a work in progress.  Perhaps I should use the original cantango gem in the meantime, if it's more polished, until the new one is production-ready?

I've just had a talk with Stanislaw. We agree that we should make one last effort in order to make cantango stable and workable again. We got so close with the latest refactored solution, but then got busy with other projects, and found that no other developers were interested enough in this project that they would help out completing it. For now, I would go for the old cantango gem, but hopefully the new refactored gems will be completed in the very near future. Please, if anyone on this list are interested, help out in any way you can, even with suggestions, wiki guides etc. Thank you!
