Congrats for the creation of this group. OCD starring is real and only
who suffers from it can feel the pain and the shame, I even do not use
my real name because I wouldn't like to be linked or labeled by it. On
OCDstarring.com I read the article by Fred Penzel Ph.D and I didn't
understand his technic: "" As she did all this directed staring, she
also had to heighten her exposure by telling herself that she was
abnormal, perverted, and might be caught and have to suffer the
consequences at any time. She was also instructed to look up
information on the internet about voyeurism (one of her fears was that
she was a voyeur), and about the social and legal problems of people
caught engaging in these types of activities. She also listened to a
graduated series of audio recordings (several times per day), which
exposed her to the thought that she was some kind of pervert, a
possible sex offender, and a thoroughly crazy person.".Has this helped
anyone?

Well, I didn't agree with most of that either, telling yourself those things...truthfully we do that already, well I did!! Which just exasperated the problem. But the sneak a peek thing, I do try this when I know it won't be noticed, it's  forcing you to  face your fear and the more you do it the less fearful it becomes. It makes so much sense. We all have heard this since we were kids Right? Kind of funny huh? And I believe it has helped a great deal, my meds have definitively made the biggest difference, but as this particular problem improves my obsession to organize and clean and detail everything I find is kicking back in. Though it's extremely time consuming, I'd rather deal with this, but the same goes for this obsession as well, if the toilet paper roll isn't the way you prefer it let it go, don't fix it. If the fire mantle isn't balanced with even objects on both sides, let it go. Face your fear, overcome your fear!!

"I have also found Phenibut (a supplement) to be extremely helpful.  I don’t really like sedatives such as Xanax or Valium, except maybe for helping me sleep."

I can not argue with this statement, for Phenibut has definitely reduced and alleviated stress and anxiety for me.  This proves to me that the supplement may
contain some nootropic effects improving some cognitive functions.  With the addition of Neuro Boost Piracetam I have noticed an increase in cognitive abilities
and functions as well.  The effects are giving me much more of a "clear mind" effect and a sense of clarity.  From the use of Neuro Boost and Phenibut, the beneficial
effects to cognitive functions are apparent and evident.  I read through the reasearch page at http://www.smartdrugsforthought.com/what-is-piracetam and discovered
that Piracetam is used to aid individuals with obsessive compulsive disorders.  I believe that Piracetam doesn't effect ocd directly, but indirectly so to speak.  It is
definitely a matter to be looked into for any experiencing disorders associated with the (CNS) central nervous system.  Thank you
