Tour opinions and advice on the canopy conference in 2023

Dear all Canopy Sci Community Forum members, 

As I announced before I have decided to postpone the 8th Canopy Conference yet again until the end of 2023. I very much hope that, by the time, China will be open to foreign visitors so that we can have this conference online!

The tentative dates of the conference is from the 17th (Tue) to the 20th (Fri) October 2022. The venue is at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, located in southern Yunnan Province, China. 

I would like to hear from you about:

1. Schedule: do you think this schedule is suitable for everyone from various regions?

2. Do you know anyone in mind as plenary speakers (I have invited some people already, but I appreciate your suggestions for additional speakers also!)

3. Sponsors and partners: this conference will be supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences but sponsorship with small contributions would be wonderful! I will prepare some space for the sponsors to advertise their business etc. Partnerships with other societies would also be good! I have a connection with the Japan Society of Tropical Ecology and I will ask them again to join this conference as a partner next year.
