Hi Derrick,

My name is Ashley Hwang, and I am currently a third-year student at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. I first learned about CAN through my sister, Irene, who served at the Arrowwood Hills location through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Her experience inspired me to volunteer at the Arrowwood Hills Community Center during my own undergraduate years at UofM — and the community has remained close to my heart ever since.

As I reflect on my time as a volunteer, I've been looking for meaningful ways to give back. Now that I'm in my third year of dental school, I have the opportunity to provide patient care at the University's pre-doctoral clinics. As we head into the new year, I have availability to take on new patients, and I'd love to extend that opportunity to CAN families who may be seeking quality dental care at a reduced cost.

If there are residents who might be interested, I'd be happy to share a Family & Friends Referral Form, which would allow me to expedite their registration and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
