I actually am a huge fan of your extensions and use all of them except
moofmarks.

The subject sums up this question pretty well I think, does rightsizer
work for those on laptops having to use control + click for right
clicks? I am also someone who suffers from the small print on pages
and have safari set so my fonts are never smaller than 14. I don't
think my settings in safari's regular preference tab is interfering
with rightsizer but I would like to hear some of your ideas I should
try to troubleshoot. I have tried using only rightsizer extension,
uninstalling all others, every single one with no luck and even used a
tool such as bettertouch for the right-click action but I just can't
get it to work. Hope to hear from you and thank you again for all your
work. I definitely need to donate considering how much time your
extensions save me! Have a great weekend. Cheers - J

Hi J,

Assuming you are using a MacBook/MBP, if you enable the Two Fingers >
Secondary Tap option in the Trackpad preference pane, then you can use
a two-finger tap to perform a right-click, and all is well with
Rightsizer.

If you cannot use two-finger tap as right-click, Rightsizer will not
work because it specifically looks for a right-click, not a Control-
click. Let me know if you can't do the two-finger tap, and I will try
to modify Rightsizer to accept Control-clicks as well.

Okie, I had two finger tap enabled I just had not thought of using that method. It does work, is not an inconvenience at all so no worries from me pleading for a new method. I appreciate you getting back to me and giving me a clue of a new approach and it works great. Zoom-text has always been hit and miss and finally I can control it on the spot via rightsizer. Thank you again for your time and please continue to make great extensions!

Off topic, I have to figure out why moofmarks doesn't work for me. I have a pinboard account and all of that and even when I invoke moofmark to search I get 1password prompting to submit my pass to pinboard but then moofmarks' search window that I see in your screenshots never shows up. Maybe it is 1password itself that is causing the conflict.

Sorry to get off topic, thanks for the hint again for rightsizer! Works great!

Thanks, J

J,

I never experienced that problem even though I also use 1Password. But
let's eliminate any possible interference from 1Password as the source of
the problem. We can do that by telling 1Password not to handle
authentication popups.

Here's how:

1. Launch the 1Password application.
2. Open its Preferences window.
3. Click the Browsers icon at the top of the prefs window.
4. Under Browser Display Settings, uncheck "Show in authentication panels".

Once you've done that, 1Password will not step in to fill in the login
panel that Moofmarks pops up. You'll have to enter your Pinboard username
and password manually. Let me know if you still don't see the bookmark bar.

Regards,
Chul
