I'm sorry if I sound like a total newbie in a group of users who have gotten this app to work, but I understand cAndy Apple wants me to put apple_iie_rom.zip in a /candyapple/roms directory. Unfortunately, my Android system won't let me create any directories in / (root), even if I grant myself root permissions by using the 'su' command (yes, my Android is rooted), because it is a "Read-only file system" according to the terminal. Where else, then, could I theoretically place apple_iie_rom.zip so that cAndy Apple can read it? Or, if I can't put it anywhere else, what else can I do?

Hey there.   After running ca for the first time, it will have created the directory for you.   On my z3 running lollipop (thanks for being slow,  Telus) I open file commander,  select internal storage and i can see the candyapple directory there with the roms directory created.  This is not the same as the root of the android file system where you were looking. Definitely no su needed.
Let me know if you still can't find it.
