I've got it installed and booting properly on my GDP XD (similar to Nvidia Shield I think; clamshell with dual analog sticks and several gaming buttons).

The problem I'm having is that I can't get the joystick to work properly, and while the options mention a virtual joystick being visible on the screen, I see no such thing.

It looks like I can remap the virtual buttons to Joystick Up/Down/Left/Right but I'd really prefer to play in landscape 'N' mode with no soft buttons visible.

The device I'm using has the ability to map the joystick and face buttons to touch events anywhere on the screen (well, except that the joystick has to be within a scaled circle, so the existing soft buttons in non-N mode won't work anyway).

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-Dave

So you are in landscape mode, you did an N to get full screen.  You go into settings and ask for visible joystick controls.  And they do not show up?  Any way to send me a photo of the screen maybe?

Sure.  Although I just realized, even if it isn't visible, it might be possible to set the overlay up properly anyway if I know where the display is located.

I got a little closer hooking up the D-pad to virtual buttons mapped to Full Up/Left/Right/Down, but it still wasn't quite right because when I let go of the button it doesn't re-center.  But if I left the auto-center on after .2 or .5 seconds, my character in the game would only move a tiny bit each time I pressed and released the button.

By (literally) poking around the screen I was able to figure out button 0/1 were on the left and the virtual stick was on the right about centered vertically, so I was able to get the GPD's virtual inputs to match up properly!

I don't understand why you can't see the joystick controls when you have them set to visible in the settings.  But then the hardware is slightly different from my Sony z3. 😁
