According to pom.xml during build of Artemis artemis-service.exe is pulled from Maven Repository Artifact winsw what is from WinSW on github. According to its documentation you have to specify the service account in the xml file:
This does not work for me. I tried to install and run the service with ActiveMQ Artemis versions 2.31 and 2.29. For both versions, running the service produces the following log in artemis-service.wrapper.log
I was surprised by that since I was pretty sure to have set the variable - my mistake was that I set it as a user variable and not a system variable. Apparently, windows starts the service under an other user as the user I'm logged in as, so the variable cannot be found.

Similar to computationally-intensive analytical modeling, the analysis cycles have to look at varying parameter combinations for launches and launch trajectories from minute to minute. The timing of launch periods and launch windows is one of the end products of the analysis, which computes the trajectory of the launch vehicle throughout its flight.
Well first of all thanks for all the helpful replies. I went back to a previous Windows 10 build on my laptop and Artemis now connects though am not sure whether this was just coincidence. I then had another problem with windows 10 insisting on installing updates at entirely the wrong time. Anyway I seem to be up and running again thank goodness. I have to say though am going to give serious thought to another laptop just for imaging. I have two laptops and my old one is packing up so now might be just the time to consider another one for imaging only and will have a look at Lenovo.
NASA announced Oct. 12 that it has scheduled the launch of the Artemis 1 mission for Nov. 14 from the Kennedy Space Center. The launch would take place during a 69-minute window that opens at 12:07 a.m. Eastern. Backup launch windows are available Nov. 16 at 1:04 a.m. Eastern and Nov. 19 at 1:45 a.m. Eastern, each two hours long.
Artemis can read files in different formats including EMBL, Genban, or GFF.

There is a control desk that sits 2 , facing the large windows. It comes with the obligatory 22 sloped computers, and coffee cup! On one wall is a mission map, which shows the rocket as it takes off, moving by rotating a gear on the side of the building. At the other end is a microscale model of the Artemis, with signage pointing to the various components of the vehicle. There are a few stickers in play here, but they really add to the appearance of the centre.
