Hello everyone,

We are glad to announce that the National Health Care Surveys validators and the Cancer Report Validator are now hosted by Valitheus as part of the Standards and Interoperability Testing Tools (SITT). They now sit together on one page:

https://tools.valitheus.com/cda/

That page has a tab for each tool. Open a tab and the validator runs right there, or use the "Open in its own window" link if you would rather have it on its own.

If you would rather go straight to a tool, the direct addresses work as well:

NHCS Release 1.0: https://tools.valitheus.com/muValidationNHCS10/

NHCS Release 1.1: https://tools.valitheus.com/muValidationNHCS11/

NHCS Release 1.2: https://tools.valitheus.com/muValidationNHCS12/

Cancer Report Validator: https://tools.valitheus.com/crigtt-web/

NHCS CDA Release 3 and Release 3.1 are validated in GVT rather than in a validator of their own. They are public scopes on the new instance at https://tools.valitheus.com/gvt/, which asks you to register a free account the first time you visit.

The NIST address (cda-validation.nist.gov/cda-validation) is being redirected to the new one. Please update your bookmarks and any documentation that names it.

This group stays open and is still the place for announcements and questions about the validators. The full catalogue of the tools is at https://valitheus.com/tools, and the NIST legacy website at https://www.nist.gov/itl/nist-health-it-program-legacy-website stays up as the record of the transition and of what happened to each tool.

If something does not behave the way it did before, please write to y.b...@prometheuscomputing.com.

Thanks,

Youssef Bouij

Hi Team,

We are trying to validate F4 (CER), but we are receiving an “Invalid Code” error. This functionality was working previously on the old website.

Please find the details attached for your reference.

Could you please look into this issue?

Thank you.

Hi Krishna,

Thanks for reporting this. Please run your F4 (CER) document again and let me know if you still see errors.

Thanks,

Thanks for the second run. The validator checks medication codes against the Medication Clinical Drug value sets, and those were from September 2015, older than the gemcitabine codes in test cases 1a and 1b. They are now current (RxNorm of September 8, 2026).

Please run your test again and let me know if anything else comes up.

Thanks,
Youssef

Hello,

Apologies for the delay in responding to this request.  My name is Sean Porter, and I lead the development team for the CRV tool.  During the transition from NIST to the new hosting environment there have been a few issues we are working through, and I wanted to let you and other know that the current version being hosted is not the most up-to-date version.

We are working through getting the latest version posted ASAP.  I will post again when this has been accomplished.
